Piano Tuition
An experienced piano teacher, I teach from beginners through to grades, public performance and Diploma, all ages.
I assist and encourage students to work out technical difficulties from first principles for themselves through consideration of their own finger and hand sizes and the perceived style requirements for the music.
I cover all elements of playing including working with the student toward creating a performance which - given appropriate latent talent - can be satisfying and communicative.
I also teach Aural Training, Theory and the principles which aid sight reading. Also tips for the sight reading tests in examinations.
I have yet to find an alternative to the need for regular, patient, consistent and thorough practice at the piano.
